Free Content Formula
Free Content Formula for Hospitality Brands A 5-part storytelling system to turn casual followers into loyal customers using short-form video content.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Owners and marketing leads of restaurants, bars, resorts, and boutique hotels who are tired of posting random content that doesn’t drive real results.
If you're wondering:
- Why aren’t our posts bringing in more bookings?
- What should we even be posting to stand out?
- We have a nice-looking feed but no traction
Then this guide is for you.
THE H.O.O.K.S. FORMULA
Reels that work = H.O.O.K.S.
(Hook → Outcome → Obsession → Keep it sexy → Strong CTA)
1. H = Hook in 2 Seconds
Capture attention immediately. Your audience is scrolling fast — don’t make them guess what your video is about.
Instead of: “Look at our chef making pasta”
Try:
“You’ll never guess what we did with parmesan today…”
“This 12-second clip sold out our brunch in 24 hours.”
2. O = Outcome-Driven Angle
Show transformation, experience, or social proof.
A couple clinking glasses during golden hour
The moment the dessert melts or is torched tableside
Customer reactions, testimonials, queue footage
3. O = Obsession-Worthy Visuals
These are your dopamine triggers.
Pro tips:
Add macro food closeups with steam, sizzle, or drip
Use natural lighting and 0.5x angles for cocktails
Capture motion: pouring, slicing, plating
4. K = Keep It Sexy (aka: Brand Personality)
Your vibe > your visuals. Add quirks, charm, or brand tone.
Voiceovers with storytelling
Text that sounds like your brand (playful, classy, savage)
Music that sets the tone (lo-fi, retro, techno, jazz)
5. S = Strong CTA (Call to Action)
Most brands don’t get conversions because they don’t ask for them.
Try:
“Tap the link in bio to reserve your table 🍽️”
“DM “MENU” and we’ll send you our top 5 dishes”
“Book your brunch slot before it’s gone (again)”
BONUS: 3 Plug-and-Play Reels Templates
Template 1: “Behind The Craving”
Hook: “Ever wondered how [X dish] is really made?”
Visuals: 4 quick cuts of key prep moments (hands-on footage)
CTA: “Try it this week. Link in bio to book.”
Template 2: “This vs That”
Hook: “Our staff’s fav vs our customer’s fav — which one wins?”
Visuals: 2 dishes side-by-side with reactions
CTA: “Vote in the comments + come try it yourself!
Template 3: “One Line, One Bite”
Hook: “We asked our chef to describe this dish in one line.”
Visuals: Chef talking + quick money shots
CTA: “Now that you know… what are you waiting for? Book now.”
